Fine Arts

We recognize the importance of fine arts in providing a balanced education, and students at St. Francis continue to be engaged in a wide range of fine arts programming, that varies slightly from year to year, including:

  • Drama for grades 7, 8, and 9
  • Choral for grades 7, 8, and 9
  • Band for grades 7, 8 and 9
  • Art for grades 7, 8, and 9
  • Dance for grades 7, 8 and 9

Additionally, there are several fine arts investigative options offered such as steel band, world drumming, expressive drawing, rock band and improv.  These vary from quarter to quarter and year to year.

All of our fine arts programs include theory and performance/display, and students see their work showcased numerous times throughout the school year at religious celebrations, leadership assemblies, our annual St. Francis Showcase in September, a Christmas performance/concert/art gallery in December, a year end concert as well as opportunities to tour and perform at our feeder schools and other community groups. Traditionally, a group of band students also travels for workshops and/or performances on an overnight trip.
