Co-Curricular

Students at St. Francis have many opportunities to expand their learning beyond their traditional classrooms. From sports, to community service, to fine arts - there is something for everyone at St. Francis.

Athletics

St. Francis participates in the Lethbridge Schools' Athletics Association. There are 5 sports available for students competing against other area schools: volleyball, basketball, cross-country running, track and field, and badminton. All students are eligible to try out for any or all of these athletic teams.

In each sport, students earn points that contribute to their consideration as Athlete of the Year. For further information regarding the point allocation please refer to the PDF.

Community Service

Students can also contribute to life at St. Francis through volunteerism in refereeing for intermurals, score-keeping at sporting events, representing classmates through Student Council and working in our canteen at lunch. These hours of time are invaluable to bringing our events together, and keeping things ticking at St. Francis. If any students have new ideas to expand our community service offerings, please let a teacher know and it just might come to be!

Co-Curricular Fine Arts

We have an unmatched reputation for providing students outlets for their personal expression in the arts. This year is no exception, with the return of musical theatre, art club, beading club, and drum club. These are all outside of our course offerings of drama, art, choral, band, strings, and theatre production. Whether you are front and centre, or behind the scenes working your magic, there is a place for everyone!
